Versital takes luxury surfaces to the next level with SteriTouch antimicrobial protection

Versital is a handmade solid surface material, also known as ‘cultured marble’ or ‘imitation marble’. Each piece is made in Britain and manufactured to order from stone resin, allowing clients to specify exact sizes where required. Versital surfaces are extremely hard wearing, and as a result of the protective gel top coat, they are 100% water proof, stain proof, nonporous and easy to clean. With over forty years of industry experience, the UK-based company reached out to antimicrobial specialists SteriTouch in order to provide peace of mind and added safety for their customers.

SteriTouch antimicrobial additives have been incorporated into the gel material, in order to provide twenty-four-hour protection against harmful bacteria such as MRSA and E. coli. The antimicrobial properties of Versital have been verified by independent laboratories using the ISO 22196 test method, and independent testing has verified that SteriTouch additives do not exhibit any discernible loss of efficacy over a period of 10 years.
