We’d like to introduce SCOPIC to you. As the first ever co-brand in detectable technology, we want to transform the sector with cutting-edge solutions to modern issues surrounding contamination.

While metal and X-Ray detectable additives have traditionally been used in food production consumables, such as pens and spatulas, there are many other applications where they can benefit a product or process. SCOPIC has solutions for plastics, rubber and even coatings, which can be any combination of metal, X-Ray and laser detectable, and even antimicrobial, with the use of SteriTouch®.

The facilities at our base in South Wales are unrivalled. With an extensive production capability including extruders and moulding machines, compounds and masterbatches can be made bespoke to requirements, and can offer many additional benefits, including UV stable and static dissipative properties. A food contact approved compound is available for production environments.

Our mechanical testing laboratory includes several tensile, impact and environmental test machines; many are not aware that detectable fillers have the potential to reduce the inherent strength of a product. Going through this testing is an important part of the qualification process, along with environmental testing if you know your product is going to be used in harsh conditions.

With a Safeline twin head metal detector system we can also measure and compare metal detectable compounds on industrial equipment as would be utilised in the food industry.

So as you can see, we’re not just a supplier. Visit www.scopic.com to look around the new website, and give us a call today on 01495 211400 to discuss your requirements.
